What I do
I am an independent IT consultant and advisor. I specialise in building long term partnerships with CIOs and senior executives, helping them create executable IT strategies and develop world class teams that deliver real value from their organisation’s technology investments. In support of my consultancy work I am also a trainer / facilitator. The Workshop Series is my unique, modular training curriculum, which is designed to support CIO’s and their teams to realise their potential and deliver value from IT.
As a mentor to Technology leaders I work with my clients to grow capability in strategic thinking and authenticity in leadership. I encourage clients to develop their own unique leadership brand and to lead through their strengths. Drawing on my extensive experience as a management consultant with Deloitte, as well as my time spent as a CIO, I am well positioned to identify a client’s particular needs and provide a tailored programme to suit them.
I am often asked to share my knowledge, which I do in a variety of ways including being an ongoing contributor to CIO and iStart magazines and writing a regular blog. More recently I have compiled some of my blogs into eBooks, which are available on this site as a free resource for you to download, use and share with a wider audience.
I have a real enthusiasm and passion for sharing my messages through speaking engagements. Whether it’s an industry conference or a company event I can work with you to ensure a dynamic and engaging experience.
So What Exactly is Keeping a CIO Awake at Night?
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Owen is an extremely solutions orientated CIO who has a real ability to recognise the greater picture and then think laterally to arrive at a great outcome for all parties. His view is always "how do we achieve this?" as opposed to "it can't be done". He is highly customer focused and ensured the entire IS team shared the same ethos. Owen is a rounded Executive with overall business skills and knowledge and was a true business partner in his role as CIO. He is also focused on developing a genuine "team" culture and recognises the role of leadership in achieving this.
