The Challenge and Opportunity of Remote Working at Scale

These are busy and somewhat scary times with COVID19 sweeping the planet and many organisations are trying to work out how they will operate going forward.  For most organisations, perhaps all, part of this puzzle is planning for  many of their team to work from home.  This may be several weeks or it could be for an extended period of time no one really knows.  What we do know is that we need to get prepared quickly for what appears to be inevitable.

Remote work at scale has many challenges.  Some are technical, some are practical and yet others are cultural.  The better you handle all of these challenges the better you will be able to weather these turbulent times.

Here’s a start to that quest.  A collection of articles that discuss remote working.  Some from the employee’s perspective (the challenge of being productive in an environment full of distractions), some from a manager or business perspective (technology issues, policy issues and management issues) and some that begin to address the opportunity in the challenge (for example, how can we leverage this to enhance our digital delivery capabilities).
