Digital Strategy
I work with executive teams who require support to define their digital strategy and ensure they turn their strategy into tangible actions.
If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I am fairly obsessed with the notion of IT Value. This obsession stems from a belief that IT has huge potential to make our lives and organisations substantially better and that it is our job, as an industry, to ensure that this value is delivered. You probably also know my view that in general we fail to deliver this value. The evidence of this is captured extensively in both IT and business literature. Why is this?
Through working with my clients to reverse this trend I believe the bottom line is, if you want to consistently deliver value from your technology investments you must have an effective digital strategy and the right skills and capabilities to implement it successfully.
For a digital strategy to be effective it must be owned by you the client. Therefore, when I am engaged by a client to assist them to define their digital strategy I work as a consultant, facilitator and coach, advising you through process. I provide proven IP and a collaborative approach designed to ensure you will achieve strong stakeholder engagement and quality outcomes. In addition I personally facilitate all workshops required to co-create the strategy. These workshops will cover understanding the business context, developing an enterprise activity model, conducting a technology assessment as well as conducting a capability assessment. Through the outputs of these workshops we will create a comprehensive strategy that not only identifies the portfolio of work required to drive the strategic outcomes required but also the change and transition plan, the benefits management plan, the target architecture and the execution strategy.
